Bus

Several buses depart every 5 minutes. Passengers can take the following routes:

- Alajuela - Travel time: 15 minutes. Rate ¢ 540 or US $ 1.00 *. From here there are buses that run to the beach.

- Heredia - Travel time: 40 minutes. Rate ¢ 520 or US $ 0.95 *.

- San José - Travel time: 35 minutes. Rate ¢ 540 or US $ 1.00 *. From here there are buses that run to the beach.

In San José the bus terminals are located on Second Avenue, north side of the Nuestra Señora de La Merced Catholic Church.

Taxi - Taxis Unidos

Taxis Unidos is the only taxi company authorized to provide taxi service to/from the airport 24 hours.

 

Vehicles are painted with the orange color and have the logo on the side doors. There is a counter in the car rental area where passengers can coordinate the required service. Taxi fare from the airport to San José city center is about U$25 and travel journal is about 30 minutes.
